Cancer Coaching

Have you or a loved one been diagnosed with cancer? Are you feeling overwhelmed, confused, or scared? Most people are when they hear the words “I’m sorry, but you have cancer.”

Contacting a cancer coach is something you probably never thought you would be doing.  Between the new of your new diagnosis and the overwhelming amount of information available on the web, you have enough on your plate already, and bringing someone else into your medical scenario does not come without hesitation.

Feeling anxious can also be overwhelming. What are my treatment options?  What side effects will I experience?  How can I survive this and come out stronger and healthier when the treatments finish?  What kind of aftercare support can I expect from my doctors and other health professionals?

A holistic cancer coach can guide you to make informed decisions based on your own personal cancer diagnosis by dispelling the fears that get in the way of feeling confident that you have the power to get better.  It's hard to make informed decisions when you are fearful.

Cancer coaches do not diagnose, recommend medication or cancer treatments - that is the doctors job.

Here are a few of the ways a cancer coach can help empower you to take control of your diagnosis and treatment, in addition to reminding you to establish worthwhile self-care habits:

  • Support the cancer patient through the shock of diagnosis

  • Work with the cancer patient on stress reduction techniques

  • Work with the cancer patient on a holistic healing plan through nutritional food choices and realistic goals

  • Help the cancer patient cope with cancer treatments and offer remedies that combat side effects

  • Educate the patient how to minimize the chance of cancer recurrence and/or progression of the disease by sharing scientifically proven nutritional protocols
